this GUY …

I am pretty sure I blogged about this GUY last year after I saw him live for the first time. Sean Rowe. If you didn’t listen to his music when I suggested it last year and you have a heart and a soul, you need to listen to it now. The only words I can use to describe him and his music are deep, magical and dreeeeeamy. Pretty damn good words, I’d say.

And, yes, that’s li’l ol’ me nestled into his embrace. OMG, I loved that moment. Hearts and butterflies and unicorns and all things happiness …

listen to FEEL …

If you wanna FEEL some mad crazy emotional shit, listen to this guy, Sean Rowe. And even more so, go see him live. Seriously. It was deep and intense and magical and I got teary and man, I just got chills thinking about it again …

Music helps me feel my heart actually beat (my heart and its beat have been hiding behind layers and layers of barriers keeping me from loving myself and others … thicker walls mean I can’t get hurt, right? Yeah, not so much … that couldn’t be any more opposite of what’s true.). So, music is here to open me up! Give it a whirl and see what transforms for you. XO

the beatles said IT best …

Do I really even need to say anything about this?

No, but I will anyway ;)

A lesson in life and love … LET. IT. BE. These words came to mind when I drew this last September. These are words I need to remind myself of often (hence why I’m posting them today). I am always working working working on health, on school, on relationships, on goals, on being active, on feeling good about myself, even relaxing seems like work for me sometimes (seriously! sad face). Often, the less effort you put into something, the more reward you receive. Less work = more joy. Shit, that sounds nice. Now, how do I do that ?!?? Well, my awareness has definitely grown in this area, so I’m headed in the right direction …

Take a moment today to just let it (whatever “it” is for you) be. Smile. Breathe. Meditate. Gaze at the sky. Drink a beer. Do you. Or should I say BE you.  :)

tune into your SOUL …

Ever been listening to a song and a verse relates to that exact moment in your life? This has happened to me a number of times in my life and always when I’m more emotionally connected to music. Today, I was literally trying to find my umbrella in the backseat of my car as KT Tunstall (don’t ask, I busted out some old CDs to listen to in my car cause the radio is so terrible) sang the lyrics “trying to find my umbrella.” No joke. I found my umbrella at that exact moment, held it in my hands and let out a jolly heartfelt laugh. And then busted out my phone to write this. We can create even without intention. Be mindful of these amazing synchronicities in life. This shit is real.
